Phase VI - Case Extraction

If the case recovers to an interference condition, the case/chamber residual load will result in a friction load upon extraction. Considerable force may be required to overcome the friction forces. The temperature variation with time has considerable influence on the final clearance or interference condition. Extensive analysis has shown that the temperature at the time of maximum radial displacement and the temperature at the time of extraction are of primary importance when attempting to predict extraction loads.
