There are three inputs to set for this tutorial concerning directing our Trajectory analysis to use the Thrust Profile.
- First the Burn on and Burn off times are very important. If they are both 0 as they are currently the trajectory code does not use the thrust profile no matter what the other inputs are. For our example we will set them as
- 0.00 seconds for Burn On because our thrust table showned burn on at 0.0 seconds.
- 1.122 seconds for Burn off Our thrust table showed the burn ending at ..957 seconds. In order for the full profile to be used, burn off must be at least as big as the start of burn plus the length of burn. In our case we are setting it to a little extra which is fine.
- The other setting that we will chek is to that the toggle Force Body Cx Calc Method is set to Table of Delta Cx That is the only method that utilizes both the thrust and the drag tables displayed on the Thrust Table Tab. Any of the three options will use the Thrust Table. Even though in our example we have not entered any drag values in the table, this option will work.
