First we will examine our model in the model editor to see the case, propellant and rotating band components. As mentioned in the previous slides you can run either analysis without modeling the case or propellant. You can run the Empirical Interior Ballistic module without modeling the rotating band.
In our example we modeled the Propellant so that the Mass Properties Module could calculate the propellant volume which we then used as the chamber volume for both analyses and the propellant weight used in the empirical interior ballistics.
