Fin Control Data

The next interface window we will be using is the "Fin Control Data" window. Please enter the following data:

The canard deflection is determined by combining the information from the Fin Control Definition Window and this window. The Fin Control Definition Window defined the start time and the direction of the projectile at the time of the deflection. This window defines the duration and magnitude of the canard deflection.

This table is made up of pairs of columns. Each pair defines the duration and magnitude of the deflection of a control event. The program interpolates within the table to find the magnitude of the deflection. A total of 10 control events can be defined.

In our example there are three control events. For the first event:

For the second event the deflection is 10 degrees and lasts for 1 second and the third event has a deflection of 6 degrees for 1 second.

Note that the first two columns in the Fin Control Data table correspond to the first event listed in the Fin Control Definition. It does not matter what EventID is used in the Fin Control Definition. The second event corresponds to the next two columns and so on.
