The script file in our example creates and populates an output file. As mentioned earlier in the tutorial this new function can be used for another program to run PRODASV35 and use the results. The output file can be used to feed the other program.

Our script created an output file in a subdirectory called "results" below the folder containing the macro example files. The script is coded to create a file whose name contains the date and time. In my case the file is shown below listed in its directory.

If you are following along feel free to open the file and look at the output even though we have not yet examined the parameter file or the script code. In this example the file contains a header and for each of three ogive configurations it outputs the ogive element lengths, key mass property results and the basic Aero table. The script file has total control of what is output to the results file. We will take a closer look at the output file toward the end of the tutorial.
