Functionally Labeled Elements

The model for the tutorial is a standard 22mm round. When the script executes it pulls the lengths for the three elements that define the ogive and then modifies the lengths and runs mass properties and aerodynamics for each configuration.

In order to access and/or change element information the element name must be unique. It is advantageous to not only name the elements but to use meaningful names. The following is a screen capture of the example round shown in the model editor. The three ogive elements are indicated. Elements OG, OGV and OGLEAD will be accessed in the example script.

If you are following along feel free to open the projectile and in the model editor click on each of the ogive elements that we will be changing. This will help you get familiar with the model.
