| Example - Manually generating Footprint |
The next example shows how to calculate the theoretical maneuver footprint of the projectile. The user will run Contraj 7DOF simulations with our example round. Each pass will have a different roll angle. The first pass will have a roll angle of zero. Each subsequent pass will have a roll angles 30 degrees higher ending will at pass with a roll angle of 330 degrees. The results will be stored in Cross Plots.
The simulation will be a simple exercise of deploying the forward canards at 5 seconds TOF to 5 degrees offset relative to projectile centerline.
The result will be plotted to show the generated rough theoretical footprint with this specific aerodynamic, bearing friction, deployment time, deployment angle etc.
You may find this example a bit labor intensive. It is a segway into our final example which will be exercising the same thing using a script to automate the process.
