REBAR Calculate Sabot Diameter

Let REBAR calculate Sabot shape based on a stress limit

In this section of the tutorial we will set a stress limit for the Sabot and have REBAR calculate the outer diameter of the Sabot to meet that limit.

Based on our analysis nodes 6 and 7 exhibited the highest stresses. Let's reduce those stresses and have REBAR calculate the new sabot shape to achieve this stress level. To set up the analysis do the following

for node 6 set the sabot stress to -175 MPa
for node 7 set the sabot stress to -170 MPa
for node 6 set CalcFromStr to 0
for node 7 set CalcFromStr to 0

Return to the Analysis Setup window and click the "Run REBAR Analysis". After the analysis has run return to the "Results Table".
