Before we go into detail examining the data that has been defined using the Data manager we will go over a few of the Data Manager basics. Looking at the screen below

• The list of names in the left window are the names of data families.
• Data families that are grayed out are read only.
• The tool is very friendly.
• It is menu driven.
• Data is entered in the right window
