A Few Notes on the Data

The first SDK tool to use is the Data Manager if your program will need either input or output data that is not already defined in the PRODAS data structure. Let's take a closer look at our input and output data and see if that is the case.

Just like with programming there are many choices. In this case our goal was

to make a user friendly interface
show how you could integrate your analysis and take advantage of output from other PRODAS analyses so we are going to have the user create a model of the ball using the PRODAS model editor and let the PRODAS mass properties module calculate two of our program inputs
- the ball's diameter
- the ball's mass

We want to emphasize that you can keep your analysis as separate as you like or you can completely integrate it by

letting other PRODAS analyses calculate some of your inputs
using your program's outputs as inputs for other programs that you will be adding to your PRODAS family of programs

You can pull programs into PRODAS that have nothing to do with projectiles. If you want to store your program inputs or output they must still be stored in a projectile file. An interesting thing about a projectile data file is that it does not even have to include a model. You can open a new file, which will bring you right into the model editor, simply close the model editor without creating a model and you are ready to run projectile independent programs and save your data.
