Laying out the program interface

Planning is recommended before starting any integration but it should also be made clear that the SDK is very flexible and you can make modifications at any time. There are a few areas that you need to understand the implication of changes but if you understand how everything works then ANY aspect can be changed at any stage without repercussions.

The first step to integrating your FORTRAN program is to think about the inputs and outputs. Any internal data in your program is your own business.

PRODAS just needs to know about :

variables that your user will be editing on a PRODAS form and that you want as inputs to your program
variables that you would like to output on PRODAS forms so the user can see their results
any inputs or outputs that you want PRODAS to remember, store in a datafile.
