As a software developer I am sure you are wondering how much coding will be required to actually get your program into PRODAS. The answer is that there is very little coding required. Actually if you are not going to pass data either to or from PRODAS then there is virtually no code. The real power of the system is to use the PRODAS tools to allow your user to edit the inputs, view the outputs and store the results so it will be worth the little code to complete the interface. PRODAS does most of the coding for you.

The analysis manager is the key to defining the interface to your program. Here are a few introductory details about the analysis manager.

Each analysis definition is stored in a file in the PRODAS root directory with the name of the definition and the ".ANL" file extension.
The analysis definition includes
- where the source files are stored
- what PRODAS data (if any) will the program use as inputs. This data is selected by clicking on any number of data definitions in any number of data families.
- what PRODAS data (if any) will the program use as outputs. This data is elected by clicking on any number of data definitions in any number of data families.
- how many text files (if any) the program will be sending back to PRODAS.
