This page discusses the details of the Booster Properties Input Tab in the Rocket Motor Simulation Module.
On the left hand side of the input tab are the Physical Properties of the Booster, on the right hand side are the Burn Rate Parameter inputs retrieved from the Reference Books for program execution:
Under the Physical Properties Parameters are:
- The Charge Weight is the mass of the Rocket Motor Booster Energetic compound.
- The Density is the density of the Rocket Motor Booster Energetic compound.
- The Molecular Weight is the Molecular Weight of the Rocket Motor Booster combustion products.
- The Specific Heat Ratio is the Specific Heat Ratio (Pressure/Volume) of the Rocket Motor Booster combustion products.
- The Cube Side is the size of the Booster grains considered to be a cube.
Under the Burn Rate Parameters are the following inputs:
- The Burn Rate is the Burn Rate (mm/sec or in/sec) of the Rocket Motor Booster material.
- The Burn Rate Exponent is the Burn Rate Exponent of the Rocket Motor Booster material.
- The Press @ Burn Rate Meas is the reference pressure for the Rocket Motor Booster material.
- The Temp @ Burn Rate Meas is the reference temperature for the Rocket Motor Booster material.
- The PI_K is the temperature sensitivity in percent per degree of the Rocket Motor Booster material.
- The Flame Temp is the Adiabatic Flame Temperature of the Rocket Motor Booster material.
