This page defines all of the inputs on the Igniter Tab inputs in the Rocket Motor Simulation Module.
On the left hand side of the input tab are the Physical Properties of the Igniter, on the right hand side are the Burn Rate Parameter inputs :
Under the Physical Properties Parameters are:
- The Primary Igniter Weight is the mass of the Rocket Motor Igniter Energetic compound.
- The Density is the density of the rocket motor igniter Energetic compound.
- The Molecular Weight is the Molecular Weight of the rocket motor igniter combustion products.
- The Specific Heat Ratio is the Specific Heat Ratio (Pressure/Volume) of the rocket motor igniter combustion products.
- The Primary Ignition Charge Cube Side is the size of the Igniter grains considered to be a cube.
Under the Burn Rate Parameters are the following inputs:
- The Burn Rate is the Burn Rate (mm/sec or in/sec) of the rocket motor igniter material.
- The Burn Rate Exponent is the Burn Rate Exponent of the rocket motor igniter material.
- The Press @ Burn Rate Meas is the reference pressure for the rocket motor igniter material.
- The Temp @ Burn Rate Meas is the reference temperature for the rocket motor igniter material.
- The PI_K is the temperature sensitivity in percent per degree of the rocket motor igniter material.
- The Flame Temp is the Adiabatic Flame Temperature of the rocket motor igniter material.
