Click on the Gun Tube Definition tab to see the Gun Tube input parameters as shown in the figure below. There is nothing that we have to do to this screen before running the analysis.

Most of the inputs came directly from the 30mm Gau-8/A Tactical data in the GunDataBase reference book. They were already set because we imported the reference book while setting up our Empirical Interior Ballistics run. Again Empirical Interior Ballistics is not a prerequisite for Baer Frankle. If you were setting up a Baer Frankle run and the gun data was not set the values could now be imported from the reference book. The only two values that did not come directly from the reference book were:

• ChamberVolume that we previously set in Empirical Interior Ballistics using the Propellant Volume the Mass Properties calculated.
• The projectile free travel input is displayed here for convenience, but the changes to the computed resistance pressure vs. travel profile are NOT displayed on this input tab. The projectile free travel input represents the distance the projectile travels down the bore between the initial position and contact with the rifling. This will be discussed in more detail in the Band/Resistance Profile input tab. For now, leave the input value at zero.
