The last two inputs that we will change are:
- We will replace the Chamber Volume that we just imported from the reference book with
the chamber volume that was calculated in mass properties based on our model because we had
our propellant modeled. We entered the 155.502 cm^3 that Mass properties calculated.
Remember
that value is displayed on the Mass Properties Supplemental Properties tab.
- One input parameter
required to estimate the muzzle velocity is the Target Breech Pressure. This is a key weapon
design parameter, it represents the expected "average" peak pressure of the weapon system.
For the weapon system in this tutorial, the Target Breech Pressure is 360 MPa.
Our setup tab with all of our inputs is shown below. This might be a good time to save the projectile.
It is good practice to frequently save your work.
