The Empirical Interior Ballistics module is fairly simple and is used to estimate muzzle velocity for a desired peak chamber pressure and defined barrel parameters. It requires knowledge of only a few parameters to obtain a reasonable estimate of expected muzzle velocity.
The Numerical Integration Interior Ballistics is a much more sophisticated analytical routine requiring more detailed knowledge of the ignitor characteristics, propellant geometry and thermochemistry, and gun parameters. The Numerical Integration Interior Ballistics module is used to:
