Forcing Function |
All In-Bore Balloting analyses require a forcing function to move the projectile down the gun tube. The source of the forcing function can be test results that are entered directly on a BALANS form or can be determined from an interior ballistics simulation that has been derived or simulated to match test results. If Prodas is used to compute the forcing function then the information is automatically provided to Balans which is the case in our example.
The PRODAS system provides two basic modules and an advanced, optional module for creating the forcing function required for in-bore balloting analyses. These modules are:
For this example, the PRODAS interior ballistics simulation was performed using the Baer-Frankle modules to create the forcing function for the in-bore balloting analysis.
