Ancillary Analysis Requirements

PRODAS assists BALANS by providing analysis tools that feed directly into BALANS inputs. These include:

Interior Ballistics
Aeroballistic Coefficient Prediction
Model build/Edit
Mass Properties.

It is necessary to run these modules prior to running BALANS.

In addition to the PRODAS analyses, additional external analyses and/or tests are required prior to conducting a BALANS analysis to obtain some of the input parameters. These include:

Spring stiffness of the projectile/bore interfaces.
Spring stiffness of the gun tube supports (including recoil)
Tolerance values for the projectile and the projectile/tube interface to determine gaps that may exist between projectile and bore.
