| System Effectiveness Studies |
The Trade Studies tab provides the ability to enter errors for any of the input parameters. This is done using the Error Levels block at the bottom of this tab. Errors may be entered as; Round to Round, Weapon to Weapon and/or, Mission to Mission errors. All errors are entered as one standard deviation values. The GNC parameters can be used in the design of the control system such that PRODAS can set the values of Control System parameters that are included in the system error budget.
Once the errors are defined, the Initial Conditions Generator can be used to generate the error table for a Monte Carlo study. Errors are all generated using a random number generator with a normal distribution. It's common for us at Arrow Tech to set up multiple Systems Effectiveness runs of several hundred trajectories each to evaluate the impact of a parameter on system accuracy. Thankfully our computers are willing to work longer days than we are!
