This page discusses the details of the "Slotted" Grain geometry in the Rocket Motor Simulation Module.

A close-up of the Slotted grain geometry is shown in the following figure.

The following dimensions required for input are shown:

• AL is the overall length of the slotted grain.
• AL1 is the length of the slots minus the end radii in the slotted grain.
• DO is the exterior diameter of the rocket motor grain.
• D1 is the interior diameter of the rocket motor grain.
• R0 is the radius at the top of the grain at the end of the grain.
• X0 is the width of the slot in the aft end of the grain.
