Data Definition Change and File Compatibility

Be cautious changing data in families once people have started using your program. PRODAS uses that data definition in reading and writing to the datafile. If users have saved data and you change the data definition and they try to reopen their file it may fail depending on your change.

As long as you understand how everything works this is not a big problem. PRODAS datafiles are very structured. Data from each family is very easy to identify and remove. If you suspect that your user can not open a file because of this problem then just open the file and remove the suspect data family section. Hopefully this snapshot of the baseballTrajectory data in our example file ...\ProdasV3\ProjectileData\examples\SDK\baseball_finish.pr3 will make this clear.
