The only difference between a temporary and a permanent table is whether it is stored in the datafile when the
user chooses Save
Here are some facts about both Temporary and Permanent tables
- they can be read into and/or output from an Analysis.
- both can be displayed on forms
- both are available until the user closes the projectile or exits PRODAS
Reasons to make a table permanent, not check the temporary box in the Data Manager:
- values from your table will be inputs for another analysis and you do not want to force the user to run your program
before running the other program each time they reopen the round.
- your program takes a long time to run and your users might want to leave PRODAS and then come back to PRODAS another time
and look at the results without running the program again.
- you are not worried about disk space and do not care how big your PRODAS files become.
